Kim Statler, M.H.A.’99, was appointed acting executive director of Polaris Tech Charter School in Ridgeland, SC. She served on the original planning committee for the school, was one of its founders who helped secure financing for its facilities and was a member of its board of directors from the start. In the past year, Polaris got state approval to expand from serving grades 6-12 to become a full kindergarten to graduation school effective in 2023. Statler previously was regional workforce advisor for the South Carolina Department of Commerce.
