Matthew Eschelbach, D.O.’88, M.S., CPE, FACEP, FAAPL, was appointed chair and associate professor of emergency medicine and director of career development at Western University College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific-Northwest in Lebanon, OR. A certified physician executive who is board-certified in family and emergency medicine, he has served as an emergency department medical director, medical director of emergency medical services and trauma, and in several hospital leadership positions. He is an executive member of the Oregon Wellness Committee, a past member of the Oregon Medical Board and past president of many medical societies. He has been named Preceptor of the Year in emergency medicine as well as ER Medical Director of the Year and EMS Medical Director of the Year for the state of Oregon.
