Gerald Haas Jr., D.O.’80

Gerald Haas Jr., D.O.’80, in late August 2023 retired from the Monroe County Medical Clinic in Albia, IA, after 41 years of practice there. He had received a National Health Service Scholarship for medical school and had to serve in a health manpower shortage area for three years; at that time Albia qualified, so he thought he’d practice there the required three years – but stayed after deciding it was a “good place to live.”
