Des Moines University M.H.A. Program Recognized in Money Magazine

The Master of Health Care Administration program at Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences has been included in Money Magazine’s inaugural list of “Best Health Administration Master’s Programs for Your Money 2024.”

Money Magazine’s list, which includes 33 programs across the country, was developed to help prospective students identify graduate programs that offer the best return on investment. Factors considered in the rankings were measured against national standards, including program quality, value, and affordability.

“Our M.H.A. program is designed to equip health care leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in a dynamic and ever-evolving field. This acknowledgment underscores our dedication to providing an education that is both high in quality and accessible,” says Rachel Reimer, Ph.D., program chair.

DMU’s online M.H.A. program is tailored for early to mid-career professionals aiming to advance their careers in health care leadership. The program is fully accredited and offers a comprehensive curriculum that addresses the complexities of health care management.

I was able to work full-time during this program while being on the two-year track to graduate. DMU really cares about their students, and they want everyone to succeed,” says Sydney Hawekotte, M.H.A.’23. Post-graduation, I have the confidence to take on advanced roles at an earlier stage in my career. The knowledge and the network I received through my M.H.A. program is invaluable.”

“I was able to apply my learning from work to school and school to work seamlessly,” says Ryan Kivett, M.H.A.’23. “The flexibility is priceless. You don’t have to stop what you’re doing to go to school and get your M.H.A.”
