Areas of Expertise
Dr. Lim is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health at Des Moines University, where he has been actively involved in the M.H.A. and M.P.H. programs since 2017. He holds a doctoral degree in health policy and administration from Penn State University, with a specialized focus on economics and policy. Additionally, he pursued studies in health care administration at the University of Missouri – Columbia. Dr. Lim’s primary research interest lies in examining health policy changes and their impact on people’s health service utilization and health outcomes from an economic perspective. As an educator, he has been actively teaching health economics and health finance courses at DMU. Moreover, he is genuinely passionate about assisting M.H.A./M.P.H. students in navigating their educational journey successfully within the programs. Dr. Lim is also actively engaged in advising and mentoring students on their research projects, fostering their growth and development.
