Areas of Expertise

Jared Datzman grew up in north Texas, and earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Arkansas in psychology and classical studies. He earned a master’s degree in psychology at Stephen F. Austin State University and a second master’s degree in epidemiology from Texas A&M University where he developed a passion for statistics. He earned his Doctor of Public Health focusing on epidemiology 2024 from Texas A&M where his dissertation focused on the use of geographic information systems data and public mental health.

His research interests include the use of Bayesian methods in epidemiology, mental health epidemiology, physician and medical worker burnout, geographic information systems (GIS) data for mental and physical health, catastrophization and nosocomial mental health problems.
