Bell graduated from the College of Saint Mary with a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitative studies and a master’s in occupational therapy. She is pursuing her post-professional doctorate in occupational therapy at the University of Kansas Medical Center with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024. Bell’s clinical experience includes working as a pediatric occupational therapist at ChildServe, Kinetic Edge Physical Therapy and Heartland Area Education Agency. She has experience in program development in outpatient and inpatient settings, including starting occupational therapy services in a private practice. Bell has also led program development efforts to support trauma-informed care and evidence-based intervention strategies. She has advanced clinical training in feeding, sensory integration, executive functioning skills, primitive reflex integration and other pediatric interventions. She is passionate about helping future occupational therapists develop strong clinical reasoning skills and advocating for occupational therapy’s unique role in a variety of settings.

Service and Community Involvement

Bell is a member of the Iowa Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association. Community service has included multidisciplinary committee membership to support social, emotional, behavioral and mental health among students.
