Kathy Frush, D.P.M. ’05, joined the College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Des Moines University in 2024 as an affiliate clinical faculty member. She is a podiatric physician at UnityPoint Health Wound Healing Center in Des Moines, where she specializes in foot and ankle surgery and diabetic wound care.

Dr. Frush is board-certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Chadron State College and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Des Moines University. She completed her podiatric medicine and surgery residency at Scott and White Hospital in Temple, Texas. She was also a full-time associate professor at Des Moines University from 2008-21.
