The one-year OMM fellowship program at Des Moines University is in addition to the four year doctor of osteopathic medicine curriculum.
The program is run by DMU’s department of osteopathic manual medicine. Four students are chosen to participate in the program based on their knowledge and skill in osteopathic manual medicine. As fellows, the students participate in caring for patients with musculoskeletal disorders, teaching first- and second-year medical students and researching osteopathic manual medicine. Fellows receive a waiver of a portion of their tuition and a monthly stipend while participating in the program.
