Students enrolling in Des Moines University’s clinical programs may be eligible for a dual degree in one of the programs listed below. The dual degree enables students to combine their clinical knowledge and practice with expertise gained in the additional degree program, helping their patients and enhancing their professional options and careers.
Individuals interested in a dual degree may apply following acceptance into their clinical program. Admitted and current students will be notified of opportunities to learn more about their dual degree options and the application process.
Master of Health Care Administration
The M.H.A. program is offered entirely online and is designed to support health services management professionals. Courses provide an opportunity for students to develop their management skills and expand their understanding of the health care delivery system. Students complete 47 total credit hours and have up to five years to complete the degree.
Master of Public Health
The M.P.H. program is offered entirely online and is designed to provide students with the skills to lead community efforts in improving the health of populations of all ages. Courses allow students to develop skills in identifying, resolving and preventing health problems that affect communities and populations.
Students must complete 42 total credit hours and have up to five years to complete the degree. The M.P.H. program may recognize up to 6 credit hours from the clinical program toward completion of a dual degree.
